World Waldorf Camp’s China Summer Program Ends on High Note
World Waldorf Camp’s 2016 China summer camp program wrapped up in style at the end of August. Over July and August hundreds of children and teens from China and overseas attended WWC’s summer camps in Beijing, Fujian and Chengdu. The campers were treated to a wide range of Waldorf-inspired activities, including handicrafts, arts, eurythmy etc. They also enjoyed numerous outdoor activities that challenged them to try new things and learn new practical skills. Most importantly, the activities were designed to ensure that the campers had lots of fun while also learning new interpersonal life skills.
As in previous years, Samirand Ventures worked with WWC to train the young Chinese counselors who staffed the camps and provided support, guidance and friendship to the young campers. As we look ahead to the 2017 program we plan to recruit counselors from the US to join the China program. We will be sharing more details about the 2017 summer camp program soon!
