Music

There is an almost universal understanding that music is one of the purest and most emotive of all art forms. Plato was of the opinion that “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.

Victor Hugo believed that “Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent”. And Confucius said that “A wise man seeks by music to strengthen his soul: a thoughtless one uses it to stifle his fears.”

Again starting from the belief that every human possesses musical ability, the Art of Parenting helps parents unearth their own musical talents and learn ways to use them to communicate in new and nourishing ways with their children. Additionally, parents learn how music can be used to teach children mathematical principles and how to incorporate music into all manner of family activities.
