Drama

Drama is one of the most powerful art forms known to mankind. By helping externalize stories that are common to humanity, drama takes both participants and audiences on a journey of discovery. Actors are transformed by drama because they become the medium through which a story is told.

Audiences are likewise transformed by drama because, through the actors, they experience a story that reveals fundamental truths about the human condition. Drama plays an important role in the Art of Parenting program. All participants are encouraged to participate actively in various dramatic exercises and activities that are designed to help them better understand themselves, other people and life in general.

Young children are also natural actors and they respond intuitively to the power of a story told on stage. By helping people find their own acting voice and ways to use this to tell stories, the Art of Parenting empowers parents to bring the right sort of drama into their family lives!
